The 33 star Lou Diamond Phillips is describing the challenges of acting out the real events of the 2010 Chilean mining disaster. “We shot in real mines, the temperature stayed constant: freezing, while we were there and we have to be half naked and brined up and sweated up,” says Lou. “But I was there with the shirtless Antonio Banderas. Ladies, I understand now. Antonio looks and you, and suddenly you are warm.”
