Rach Helps "Hamilton" Star in His Fight to Cure His Daughter's Epilepsy — Watch the Emotional Video!

Miguel Cervantes gets to play everyone's favorite founding father, Alexander Hamilton, in the Chicago production of the Broadway juggernaut "Hamilton."

But off-stage, he's the father of 2-year-old Adelaide, who suffers from a very rare form of epilepsy.

"You hope against hope that these things will just work themselves out," says Miguel. "But as you get deeper and deeper into this complex jungle of the brain, then all of a sudden, your worst fears and nightmares are starting to sprout up in front of you."

Most days, he says, "I look at her and I just pray that she'll look at me and smile… or something. And if there's a possibility that I might not get that — that I may not get to ever see that — and no one can help me find it, that makes me very sad."

Which is why the actor and his wife, Kelly, have partnered with CURE, the largest privately funded organization raising money for epilepsy. Not just for their little girl, but for everyone diagnosed with epilepsy.
