3 of 2016's Hottest Hair Trends Put to the Test

From coloring your hair to look like a rainbow, to literally burning off split ends – some of 2016’s biggest hair trends can sound wacky, but stylist Kyan Douglas is putting them to the test, with amazing results!

Trend 1: Rainbow Hair

This look features a literal rainbow of colors painted into your mane. Our viewer Jennifer got this look at Cutler Salon, which took 4.5 hours to apply, but the results left Rach stunned!

Tip: Kyan says to be sure to go to a master colorist for this look since it takes a high skill level.

Trend 2: Burning Off Split Ends

This is a trend you do NOT want to try at home. With this new technique, stylists run your hair through a candle flame to burn off the split ends.

Trend 3: Bronde

This is a look that Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Alba rock – a combo of blonde and brown hairs that’s perfect for blondes and brunettes alike!

Tip: As a rule of thumb, don’t go more than three shades away from your natural hair color.

Bonus Tip: If you’ve used box color, even a year ago, and you haven’t trimmed that hair off, tell your colorist, because it will affect how they tackle your color.
