Art Smith's Jeera Rice
- 1 cup Basmati rice
- 2 cups of water
- 2 tablespoons cashews, chopped
- 2 tablespoons golden raisins
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 bunch cilantro, chopped
- Salt, to taste
Rinse the rice, until the water runs clear.
Next add the spices, 2 cups of water, bay leaves, cloves, and cinnamon sticks.
Bring this mix to a boil and then turn the heat down to a simmer. Check for seasoning.
Remove the spices once the rice is finished cooking.
Finish the rice by adding in the cashews, cilantro and golden raisins.
