If you’re looking for fun activities to get your kids excited about food, foodie and mom Siri Pinter has three amazing DIY projects you can do after school.

DIY Fruit Leathers

Rachael Ray Show

It literally could not get any easier than this. These DIY fruit leathers have just one ingredient, mango, which is pureed and then spread thinly on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 175 for 3-4 hours, then slice and roll. Yum!

Rainbow Spaghetti

Cook boxed spaghetti according to the package directions, then drain and shock in a cold bath. Then, make baggies with 2 tablespoons of water and 20 drops of the food coloring of your choice. Add pasta, close the bag, and shake! Your spaghetti will be dyed! Just rinse the food coloring off, and you’re ready to reheat and serve!

Edible Crayons

These “crayons” are actually chocolate covered pretzels! Siri starts by dipping the ends of a stick pretzel in food-coloring-dyed white chocolate. She then uses double-sided tape to put little “crayon wrappers” on the treats. This would be great for a child’s party, or just as a fun treat when the kids get home from school.

Which one of these recipes do you think the kids in your life would be most excited to try?
