4 Deep-Fried Thanksgiving Sides Your Guests Will Go Crazy For

Food & Fun - By on

You may have had fried turkey, but have you ever deep fried your traditional Thanksgiving dishes? We didn’t think so! Read on for fried versions of potatoes, stuffing and even risotto!

No. 1: John McLemore's Loaded Baked Potato Bites

The deep fried bites of potato heaven from John McLemore are flavored with Ranch dressing and bacon. Come on, what more could you want?

No. 2: John McLemore’s Deep-Fried Stuffing Balls

These stuffing balls start with Rachael’s apple celery stuffing recipe. Balls are formed, and then wrapped in raw bacon, then deep-fried. Decadent!

No. 3: John McLemore's Pumpkin Fritters

John makes a batter featuring pumpkin puree, then drops the fritters into hot oil one by one, using a tablespoon dipped in water, just like making hush puppies. After they’re fried, toss them in brown sugar and drizzle with maple syrup. Delish!

No. 4: Leftover Risotto Balls

Rachael suggests serving risotto for dinner a couple days before Thanksgiving, and using the leftovers to make delicious fried arancini. She breads them and puts a little mozzarella in the middle before frying. Yum!
