Food & Fun - By on

You've never had an egg like this before!

Ingredients
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Preparation

Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, carefully place the egg into the boiling water. Let boil for 7 minutes and immediately remove to a bowl of ice water. Peel the shell from the egg.

In a small sauté pan, heat butter over medium-high heat until it stars to become fragrant and begins to brown. Once brown, add the egg. Tilt the pan slightly so that all of the butter is surrounding the egg. Using a small tasting spoon, continously spoon the hot butter over top of the egg to baste it. Once the egg begins to brown on the outside, season with a little salt and pepper and remove. Serve over toast.
