Pub Cheese "Impossible" Burgers
Rach's "Impossible" burger with pub cheese was inspired by the movie "Mission Impossible," which is airing on Sunday, May 17, at 8/7c on CBS as part of the CBS Movie Night series.
Dim the lights and serve these burgers with John's Pimm's Cup Cocktail for the ultimate movie night at home.

- One 8-ounce brick white sharp cheddar, shredded (2 cups)
- 2 teaspoons horseradish (Rach likes Gold's)
- 2 teaspoons granulated garlic (⅔ palmful)
- 2 teaspoons granulated onion (⅔ palmful)
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 ounces blonde beer or light lager (⅓ of a bottle)
- 3 tablespoons chives or dried chives
- Non-aerosol cooking spray
- One package of plant-based burger patties (five 6-ounce patties; Rach likes Impossible), or about 1 pound ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- Chopped iceberg lettuce
- Chopped white onion
- Pickle chips, dill or bread and butter
- Soft sesame seed buns (Rach likes Big Marty's)
For the yellow pub cheese, place ingredients in a food processor and process to smooth.
For the white pub cheese, rinse and dry the food processor, then add ingredients and process until smooth.
For the burgers, heat a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, and spray with cooking spray. Season patties with salt and pepper and cook patties 7 to 8 minutes, turning once.
Build burgers: bun bottom, lettuce, onion, pickles, burger, pub cheese and bun top.
