Season 10 Countdown: 10 of Our Favorite Kitchen Gadgets

Life - By on

by Lisa Lozano

To celebrate the launch of our 10th season on September 14, we're taking a look back at some of our favorite kitchen gadgets! From a gadget that gets you a perfect crispy pizza crust at home, to a simple rolling pin that creates perfect ravioli, these tools might change your life!

No. 1: Baking Steel

America's Test Kitchen recommends a baking steel instead of a baking stone.

Tip: To pre-heat the steel quickly, put it under the broiler.

No. 2: Roma by Weston Ravioli Rolling Pin

This clever two-in-one device makes preparing homemade ravioli a snap! The device comes with a cover that makes it a typical rolling pin, but when you take it off, it becomes a special ravioli pin. You simply roll two pieces of pasta dough flat, and spread filling on the lower third of one. Lay the other sheet of dough on top, crimp the edges, then slowly roll the ravioli roller over it. It forms perfectly uniform ravioli, which you can then cut out with your paring knife. How easy is that?

No. 3: Cuisipro Mini Ice Cream Sandwich Maker

These clever little presses cut cookies and ice cream into fun shapes and press them into neatly packed sandwiches.

No. 4: Rosle Egg Topper

If you want to serve soft-boiled eggs without any trace of shells, use this handy tool to easily remove the top of the cooked egg.

No. 5: Grandpa Witmer’s Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Mixer

When you buy all natural peanut butter, or other nutbutters, it can be really annoying and messy to try to stir the separated oil back into the butter. This tool screws right onto the lid of your peanut butter, and stirs with no mess. Brilliant!

No. 6: Wilton Silicone Shot Glass Mold

Make your own edible shot glasses with this fun device. Katie Lee puts hard candies inside the mold and bakes until the candy melts. Once the “glasses” have cooled down, you can use them! As an alternative, you can pour cola into the molds and freeze, then you have cool cola shot glasses!

No. 7: iGrill mini

This is a meat thermometer that communicates with an app to tell you your meat’s temperature on your phone!

No. 8: Architect 5 Minute Stackable Appetizer Maker

This amazing contraption enables you to make a bunch of appetizers in no time! You just stack the ingredients into the mold, then slice! How easy is that?

No. 9: KitchenArt Adjust-a-Cup Measuring Cup

If you’ve ever tried to measure peanut butter, honey, or another sticky ingredient, you know that it can be near-impossible to get all of it out of your measuring cup. But this cup is adjustable, and easily pushes the ingredient into your bowl after measuring.

No. 10: CM Scrubber

This chain-link scrubber will clean your cast iron pans without removing the finish. Perfect!

What kitchen gadget can you not live without?
