Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent help Matt, a NYC graduate student who loves to cook but feels cramped by his tiny Manhattan home kitchen — AKA his “sore thumb.” To give Matt some much-needed counterspace, the design duo suggest putting a butcher block island in the center or a bar-height table in front of the cabinets or stove.
