We don't know about you, but we're ready to have the best summer ever. Since all good things start in the kitchen, we asked Milk Street founder and chef Chris Kimball to share the summer + BBQ gadgets he's loving right now—and as always, we want them all.
"I love my coffee iced now that summer is here, and with this cold-brew carafe, I don’t even need to turn on the coffee maker. It makes a rich coffee concentrate in the refrigerator that I add water or milk to. It's a big money-saver, and much better than chilling down hot coffee, which can be bitter."
"Nothing ruins a cocktail quicker than melting ice. I like using the large cubes and ice spheres that these silicone molds produce that keep your drink cold without melting too quickly. They are easy to fill and the ice pops out without a struggle."
"This lightweight kebab mold makes skewering meats and vegetables easier. It has different chambers for vegetables and meat strips. I especially like the double-skewer feature, where you can assemble unstable items evenly with two skewers that might otherwise fall off or slide on a single skewer, making them easier to maneuver on a hot grill."
"I like this grill-cleaning tool for its sturdy construction, and that I don't have to worry about getting any bristles from the brush into our burgers or fish. It cleans with weaved stainless steel and can be used on any type of grill rack."
"I'm frustrated with the wilting paper straws that we're given in coffee shops and cafés these days, so we like these reusable silicone versions that come in a travel pack with the tools to get them clean between uses. They are great for the beach or a hike and can be thrown in the dishwasher when you get home."
