Correction: J.O. Spice Company is a 4th Generation Family-Owned Maryland Business Known for Distinctive Spices

During a recent episode featuring Mike Rowe and in an article initially published here on our website, our content incorrectly implied an affiliation between J.O. Spice Company, a 4th generation family-owned spice business, and Old Bay brand spices. In fact, J.O. Spice Company, based in Halethorpe, Maryland, has been making a wide range of seafood seasonings, spices, batters, breadings and soups since 1945 and has no affiliation with the latter spice brand. Mike Rowe recently visited the J.O. Spice production facility as part of The Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs” and praised the company that is known for its distinctive spices. We truly regret this error and any confusion it may have caused.
