Meet Ruth, a hardworking single mom of three boys from Lincoln Park, NJ, who says she has "absolutely no idea what to do" with her hair. The 50-year-old mom works a full-time job, goes to school and volunteers with the EMS First Aid Squad — so we get why she usually just throws her long hair in a ponytail!

Now, though, it's time for Ruth to step into the spotlight for once. "I'm ready to put myself first," she admits.

The mom of three says that in the past, she's always asked hairdressers for a stylish cut that would help control her mane and give her hair more shape, but no one ever had any real solutions.

We think this superstar mom definitely deserves some pampering. That's why we set her up with stylist Kyan Douglas. With help from Victoria and Jenna at Spoke & Weal salon, he's taking on the challenge of tackling Ruth's self-proclaimed dry, frizzy hair — which Kyan says is "probably the most amount of hair that I've ever seen on one person" — and giving her a stylish new look from head to toe.

All three of Ruth's sons were present for the big reveal, which you have to see to believe.

(Spoiler alert: Halfway through the process, Kyan said he'd already taken off two ounces of hair!)
