Jalen Bailey is an adorable 8-year-old boy who loves to bake, and his customers just can’t get enough of his sweet creations. He and his mother Sharhonda Mahan live in a small two-bedroom apartment in Fresno, California, and it is Bailey’s dream to help his mother buy a house. To accomplish this, he started Jalen’s Bakery right in their own kitchen!
So is it working? Bailey says business is booming. Locals in the area can submit their orders online, by phone or email, and he personally delivers every order. His mom also helped him start a GoFundMe account.
“We are going to be using that account for him to be able to rent his own commercial kitchen,” says Mahan. “With the commercial kitchen, he’ll be able to ship his baked goods to customers across the world so he can spread smiles and love to everyone.”
So far, Bailey has raised an impressive $5,000 from his bakery sales. To help him turn out sales faster, Rach gifted him with the Perfect Bake PRO by Perfect Company. And Perfect Company sent over another surprise: $5,000 to complete his GoFundMe goal!
Bailey's reaction? Speechless!
