Do you think your mama makes the best food in town?
In fact, they believe in their mama's cooking so much that came on our show to compete for bragging rights, a beautiful trophy, dinner for two at their favorite local restaurant -- and a spa day just for mom!
Because what mama wouldn’t want a free meal and a day of pampering after all that cooking?
To sweeten the deal, the one and only Emeril Lagasse judged our first-ever mama’s boy cook-off, looking for “taste, originality, presentation, but most importantly, the love.”
Ryan’s mom, Kate, claims to make the best southern barbecue chicken wings (thanks to their secret sauce recipe) and loaded mashed potatoes that Raleigh has ever tasted.
“My passion for cooking comes from my family,” says Kate. “As long as somebody’s happy and I fill their belly -- they’ve made my day!”
Dom claims that his mom, Nina, makes the best food in Philly, so of course, they made a Philly Cheesesteak (with an Italian twist).
“I consider myself a mama’s boy because she’s my best friend. I want to come home and let her know what I’ve done and make her proud because she’s raised me to be who I am,” says Dom.
D’awww!!!
“Pretty much anything she’s ever made, I’ve loved. Not just because it’s good, but because she tries new things and they always come out delicious,” he adds
Check out the video above to see who came out on top!
