With kids all over the country heading back to school, parents are looking for inspiration when it comes to nutritious snacks. Check out five healthy snacks that are great to pack in a lunchbox or eat after school!

No. 1: The Kitchen Twins' Cheddar Chips

These portable snacks couldn’t be easier to make. Just melt shredded cheddar and sage on a baking sheet, then let them cool!

No. 2: Graham Elliot's Cinnamon-Dusted Autumn Apple Chips

Apple chips are pretty widely available these days, but they can get expensive. Save yourself a boatload by making a big bag of these for the road. Bonus: they’re so sweet that your family won’t realize how nutritious they actually are!

No. 3: Kelsey Nixon's Banana Chocolate Chip Quinoa Cookies

This recipe starts with protein-rich quinoa, adding in heart-healthy oats, potassium-rich bananas and good fat-laden coconut and pecans, to result in a treat that packs a healthy punch!

No. 4: The Kitchen Twins' Broccoli 'Stars'

Twin girls came up with this clever method for using broccoli stumps. They just slice them up thin and bake them off with olive oil and a pinch of salt!

No. 5: Audrey Johns' Giant Breakfast Cookie

These cookies are packed with great ingredients like rolled oats, dried cranberries, and applesauce, with a relatively low amount of sugar.

Tip: If your child’s school has a nut-free policy, leave the nuts out of the recipes above.
