Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 jalapeño slices
  • 4 ounces chopped green apples
  • 2 fresh mint leaves
  • 3 fresh basil leaves
  • 3 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons organic simple syrup*
  • 2 ounces tequila blanco (silver)

Yield

Serves: 1

Preparation

*To make syrup: Bring 1 cup organic cane sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let simple syrup cool.
 
To make margarita: Muddle jalapeño, apples, mint and basil in a cocktail shaker. Add the lime juice, syrup and tequila. Fill shaker with ice, shake about 30 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with jalapeño slice.
