Ingredients
  • Ice
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • About 3 ounces vodka or gin
  • Elderflower liqueur, such as St-Germain
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice

Preparation

Fill 2 glasses with ice to chill. 

In a cocktail shaker, muddle a handful of basil leaves using a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon. Add vodka or gin, a splash of elderflower liqueur, the lemon juice, and ice. Dump out the ice from the chilled glasses. Cover the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously, then strain into the chilled glasses. Garnish with basil leaves.
