Rach took one sip of this twist on a mimosa that John created to go with her Christmas Eve brunch menu and gave it a ringing endorsement: "That is delightful!" she said. "It is bright and cheerful. Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Grand Marnier
  • 1 ounce fresh-squeezed blood orange juice
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 3 to 4 ounces Champagne
  • Blood orange twist, for garnish

Yield

Serves: 1

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker, combine the Grand Marnier, juice and bitters. Shake well with ice, then strain into a chilled Champagne flute. Top with Champagne and garnish with twist.
