Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate and butter and stir until smooth. In a large bowl, add the chocolate-butter mixture, flour, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, syrup, sugars and eggs. Using an electric hand mixer, mix the ingredients at low speed until they're well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 30 minutes, then let it cool for 1 hour before serving.
