YouTube star Donal Skehan shares an easy recipe for baked sweet potato fries from his cookbook, Everyday Cook. Tossing the potatoes with cornstarch helps them get crispy. He likes to serve them with his Buffalo Roast Chicken & Salad with Blue Cheese, one of his family's staple Saturday dinners. 


  • 1 ½ pounds sweet potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Sea salt


Serves: 4


Preheat the oven to 410°F. 
Spread the sweet potato fries on a baking sheet and toss all over with the cornstarch to form a thin layer. Drizzle with oil and season with sea salt and roast for 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and crisp.
