John describes his Italian 75 cocktail as a Negroni with Champagne—cheers! 

He came up with this riff on the classic French 75 cocktail to go with Rach's Easy Florentine Pasta with Italian Tuna or Pulled Chicken.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce blood orange juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • Campari
  • 3 ounces Champagne
  • Orange peel, for garnish

Yield

Serves: 1

Preparation

In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine vodka, juice, simple syrup and a dash of Campari. Shake vigorously, then strain into a chilled martini glass. Top with champagne and garnish with orange peel.
