Ingredients

  • One 15-ounce container ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, divided
  • 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar, plus more for dusting
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch salt
  • 4 plain cake donuts

Yield

Serves: 4

Preparation

In a small bowl, whisk to combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mini chocolate chips, the confectioners’ sugar, cinnamon and salt. Transfer the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.

Halve each donut horizontally. Pipe the mixture on the bottom halves of the donuts and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate chips. Set the donut tops into place and dust with confectioners’ sugar.

Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
