If you’re a guy who wants to up your fashion game, or a gal who wants to help out a gent in her life, style expert Clinton Kelly is sharing five rules that will make it easy to make every shopping trip a success!
Rule 1: Set Your Budget Ahead of Time
If you decide ahead of time how much you want to spend, and how much you want to get for that, you will avoid overspending.
Rule 2: Consider the CPW (Cost Per Wear)
A good quality pair of pants may seem expensive, but if you wear them frequently, they might be a good investment as opposed to a less expensive pair that will wear out.
Rule 3: Factor Tailoring into the Cost
If you get your clothes tailored, you can make a less expensive piece look better than a non-tailored expensive item.

Rule 4: Choose a Style Icon
Choose someone whose style you would like to emulate. Try to choose someone who has a similar body type and is about your age. Then, copy their style!
Rule 5: Make Sure You Have These Four Key Pieces
Clinton says that you can upgrade your style today with only four pieces. One, swap your athletic shoes for non-athletic shoes. Two, ditch your light-wash jeans and get a nice pair of dark wash jeans. Three, pick up a button-front shirt that fits well. Four, purchase a casual blazer.
Guys, we want to know. What is the must-have item in your wardrobe that you couldn’t live without?
