If you see a long summer stretching ahead of you and you’re looking for activities to do with your kids, try one or all of these fun DIY snack projects!

No. 1: Fruit Leather

It literally could not get any easier than this fun and nutritious snack hack. These DIY fruit leathers have just one ingredient, mango, which is pureed and then spread thinly on a lined baking sheet. Bake at 175 for 3-4 hours, then slice and roll. Yum!

No. 2: “Popcorn” Cupcakes

For this fun fakeout, just buy some red and white striped popcorn boxes, cut them into the shape of cupcake liners, and wrap around pre-baked cupcakes (or store bought to save time). Then, apply white icing and top with mini marshmallows that you cut with scissors to look like popcorn! Finally, dust with an edible spray that looks like butter. Now you’ve got “popcorn” cupcakes.

No. 3: Edible Crayons

These “crayons” are actually chocolate covered pretzels! Start by dipping the ends of a stick pretzel in food-coloring-dyed white chocolate. Then use double-sided tape to put little “crayon wrappers” on the treats.

No. 4: Avocado Ice Cream

This nutritious and delicious treat is a fun dessert to make with your kids. This recipe really could not be easier. Just blend up avocado, heavy cream and agave, then freeze, that’s it.

Which of these are you excited to try first? Share below.
