Hey, if you're from the south, there may be no such thing as overcooked green beans (in which case, your overcooked green beans are just southern!). But, if you prefer your beans to have a bite to them, try this: add some toasted almonds over the top to add some crunch. You'll never notice that they've been overcooked!
