Losing weight doesn't necessarily need to be about obsessively counting calories — sometimes little habits can help you lose weight without even trying!
Erica and Adonis each lost over 100 pounds by changing their diet and exercise habits, and today they're going head-to-head in our viewer tip-off.
First up is Erica:
These 2 Clever Tips Could Help You Lose Weight Without Thinking About It
Use Frozen Dinner Trays to Cut Down Your Portion Size
Erica has a simple, but brilliant piece of advice. If you want to know how much you should be eating, just use an old microwave dinner container to portion out your meal.
Pay Yourself for Hard Work
Every time you make a healthy decision, whether it's working out or passing up a cupcake, put a dollar in a piggy bank. At the end of the month you can literally cash in on your healthy habits, and treat yourself to a non-food-related reward!
Next, Adonis' favorite strategies:
Can the Color of Your Plate Help You Lose Weight?
Take Time to Interpret Labels
Adonis points out that the label on a muffin might say that a serving size is 5 oz., but if it actually weighs 5.8 oz, you're sneaking in extra calories. So, invest in a scale and make sure you know how big a portion size really is.
Use a Dark-Colored Plate for Dinner
Adonis says that if you eat off a dark-colored plate, you’re not as likely to eat a large portion.
