Clark Howard's Cell Phone Guide

With text messaging and Internet access options, cell phone plans involve a lot more than just paying for a simple dial tone. So how do you know which plan is the best for your lifestyle? Rachael brings back savings expert Clark Howard to help a few viewers find the plan that is right for them! "You know that I'm into saving money any way that you can," Clark says. "There are some great new deals that I want to tell you all about!" Find out about all of the plans he recommends below (prices may vary): **Boost Mobile** Clark suggests this plan if you're looking to lower your monthly bill. "This company offers unlimited calling, unlimited Web surfing, e-mail, texting, unlimited long distance and no roaming charge as you travel around the country - $50 a month!" **Virgin Mobile USA** Clark also recommends this plan for monthly bundled services with unlimited calls for $49 a month, plus another $10 for unlimited texting or Internet surfing. **Net 10** "Have you ever heard of this company?" Clark asks. "The cost per call: a dime per minute. Only when you use the phone!" With no plan, users pay as they go and are required to purchase $180 in minutes for the year. **Metro PCS** Clark says this growing cell phone company offers great plans for students looking to share phones. "One hundred dollars a month buys you not one phone line - but four unlimited calling phone lines, including unlimited long distance!" **Magic Jack** For $20 a year this gadget helps you get unlimited local and long distance calling. "I use it when I travel all over the world," Clark says, explaining the device connects a phone line to a computer to enable phone calls using your laptop. "You can make all the calls that you want from anywhere in the world to the United States or in the United States for free."
