A Facebook Family Reunion

"The last time I saw Suzy, she was wrapped up in a pink blanket and she had dark hair and she was just laying there sleeping," says her mom Robin. The year was 1968, and Robin had just given birth to her first child. But she and her boyfriend Ron were still in high school, and after a lot of counseling from their church's priest, it was decided that the best course of action for the young and inexperienced parents was to put the baby up for adoption. "So that was our last view of her..." Robin says. As the years went by, Ron and Robin were married and had three more children, but never hid the fact from their kids that they had an older sister somewhere. In 2005, their daughter Shannon, always curious about the sister she never knew, started searching online; she was shocked to come across a photo of Suzy taken in high school - she was the spitting image of Shannon and her mom. Suzy recalls receiving the first Facebook message from Shannon. "I read the message, then I read it again - then I read it a third time," she says. "Then I saw the picture of Shannon, and that's when I freaked out." Watch the video above to see the emotional reunion between Suzy and her family, and the reaction from Ron and Robin to seeing their daughter for the first time in 42 years!
