On pizza nights, Rach and John wake up early in the morning to light their wood-fired pizza oven, and John stokes the fire all day to prep for the perfect homemade pizzas. And if, like most of us, you don't have a pizza oven at home, Rach says you can make "an excellent quality pizza" by preheating your own oven with food-safe slate or pizza stones for at least an hour before you cook. "Turn the oven as high as it goes and get the stones hot," she says.
