Turning Pancakes Into Art

When Jim makes pancakes for his daughter Allie, his kitchen becomes his art studio, and his frying pan his canvas. "When Allie was about 2, I made pancakes for her one day and I remembered that my dad used to make me Mickey Mouse pancakes," he explains. "So I thought, I can do that for her." After his first creation of a pancake poodle was a hit with his daughter, Jim knew he was on to something. Soon, breakfast time included pancake princesses, Ferris wheels, skyscrapers and even the Statue of Liberty! Allie, now 3, helps her dad with his pancake masterpieces. "We're a team, so it's really cool and I love that experience," Jim says. "To have the memories of cooking together, that brings people closer together. When you share food, it bonds you that much more." Click on the video to see Jim and Allie join Rachael in the kitchen to show off their pancake skills! Plus, check out more of Jim's creations on his blog, @[Jim's Pancakes.](http://www.jimspancakes.com)
