This scone recipe comes from actor David Burtka (husband of Neil Patrick Harris), and it’s a favorite of their adorable twins. The dough is super simple to make, and a mixer makes it even easier!

Tip: Make sure your butter is cold for this recipe.

No. 2: Abigail Derethik's Cherry-Almond Soda

Rachael Ray Show

This yummy ice cream float recipe calls for frozen cherries, but there’s no need to do that when there’s so much fresh around, right? To make this delish drink, puree a cup of cherries and pour into glasses, mix in almond syrup and top with soda water. Add a scoop of ice cream and brandied cherries, and it’s ready!

No. 3: Cherry Sangria

Another excellent way to highlight fresh cherry flavor is in this delish sangria! Just muddle thinly sliced plums, 2 cups of cherries, a handful of basil leaves and one quarter cup of Kirschwasser brandy in a pitcher to release their juices. Then add sliced oranges and wine, and serve over ice. Perfect for a hot summer day.
