Let’s face it -- cooking pork chops can be intimidating. But it doesn’t have to be! If you want to bake your chops, check out the below guidelines. And while you're at it, try your hand at the fennel-crusted pork chops Clodagh McKenna and Rachael are whipping up in the video above!
For boneless center-cut pork chops, preheat oven to 400°F and bake for 25 minutes.
For bone-in pork chops that are about 1-inch thick, preheat the oven to 475°F. Roast, turning the pork chops once, until the chops are just cooked through, about 25 minutes.
Our favorite butcher Ray Venezia recommends the below temperature guidelines when cooking meat:
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR MEAT IS DONE?
Always cook your meat to the proper temperature for safety!
Ground Meat (any kind): 160°
Poultry: 165°
Pork: 145° - 160°
Beef: 125° - 160°
