These no-bake chocolate-peanut butter oat balls are a healthy, protein-packed snack that fitness influencer Tameika Gentles says helped her lose weight.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups rolled oats
  • ¼ cup vegan chocolate protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds, soaked overnight in water, milk or plant-based milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds or other nuts or seeds of choice
  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter
  • ⅓ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes
  • A few tablespoons milk or plant-based milk

Yield

Serves: Makes about 5

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix with clean hands. Roll into about 5 palm-sized balls. Wrap each ball individually in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to help hold their shape, then freeze until set, 1 to 2 hours. Unwrap the balls and refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to eat.
