When Sam Agboare got tired of being teased for being out of shape, he hit the gym and the kitchen to develop high-protein recipes. He's since lost 30 pounds and gained a ton of muscle, all while enjoying the food he loves, including these amazing chocolate pancakes. He tops them with banana slices and peanut butter, but feel free to use whatever you prefer. You can get more of Sam's recipes in his digital cookbook, Certified Gains, and on social media @Samstethics.

Ingredients

  • 7 liquid egg whites (322 grams)
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 ripe banana, plus extra slices to top pancakes
  • 4 teaspoons sugar-free sweetener
  • 1 ¼ cups rolled oats
  • 2 scoops (70 grams) chocolate protein powder
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • Cooking spray
  • Peanut butter, to top pancakes

Yield

Serves: 1 or 2

Preparation

Blend together all the ingredients, except the cooking spray and peanut butter. This batter is SLIGHTLY watery, so let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken up a bit before cooking. Heat a skillet over medium heat, then spray with cooking spray, add some batter and cook for about 2 minutes, or until holes begin to appear in the pancakes. Flip and cook for about 2 minutes more. Keep the cooking time short so you can enjoy the DECADENT TEXTURE.

When ready to serve, top with some banana slices and peanut butter or other toppings of choice.
