- 1 English cucumber, very thinly sliced
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- Generous pinch sugar, to taste
- 1 to 2 tablespoons white vinegar, to taste
- ¼ cup fresh dill, chopped
Place sliced cucumber in a colander set over a medium bowl. Toss cucumber slices with salt and let drain 10 minutes. Gently press slices to drain any excess liquid, then transfer to serving bowl. Add sugar, white vinegar and dill, and toss to combine.
