We can always count on Chris Appleton for the intel on the latest, chicest ‘dos — after all, he styles the tresses of mega stars, like Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian!

And, in fact, he walked us through some of the hottest looks right now—modeled by two of our viewers—inspired by these two seriously stylish celebs.

Glam Wave

Who better to give us a glam look than the one and only J.Lo?

“This is basically for those of you who like that straight rich hair, but want something a little bit sexier and softer.” Chris says.

So, how does he achieve the style?

After making a deep side part, Chris, who’s a paid spokesperson for Color Wow Hair, slicks on Color Wow Dream Coat before blow drying the hair. The last step? Using the  Beachwaver, for those perfectly wavy locks and a quick brush through.

Half-Up Pony

“For the first time in a long time, it’s about not actually putting any heat on your hair, it’s about letting the natural texture come back through,” says Chris about this style, inspired by none other than Kim Kardashian.

First, he saturates the hair with Color Wow Dream Coat which, he says, “encourages the curl,” then diffuses it by simply scrunching it together. He then combs out the front and gathers it into a half-up, half-down pony.

“Everyone’s going back to texture,” says Chris. If this is what texture looks like, we can understand why!
